Starting Up
When we start with a new client there is some “get to Know” you time. We consider this time essential to understand your needs and what is expected, but is not always necessarily “bookkeeping”
This can include:
Get to know you and where you want to take your business
Learn about your operation, understanding your needs and the business structure
Organising, sorting and starting up a filing system
Analysing current documentation, policies and processes and/or establish new processes, policies and documentation
Implementing bookkeeping software
Training
Ensuring that office equipment and hardware meets the business needs
Organising, entering and filling computerised or manual documentation to the ATO, withing the ATO guidelines.
Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly
It is recommended to keep the books up to date on a weekly or fortnightly basis. It is always easier to remember transactions and fix mishaps quickly when you are dealing in shorter time spans.
An added bonus is that the books are always up to date. This will enable you to forecast, budget and plan your BAS, PAYG and Superannuation commitments or other requirements.
This will also enable us to complete your BAS and have it ready for you well in advance of lodgement.
